It will throw chilled air up to 20 feet. You either hook a hose to it for continuous use, OR fill the unit manually with 35 gallons of water for approximately 6 hours of use before refilling. The performance you will get is a cool breeze as it crosses your path, but please note it does not cool a room like air conditioning does. AC is a refrigerated gas and is heavy, whereas this is just temporary chilled air which is light and dissipates quickly.
Great for spaces that want fast, chilled air quietly up to 700 square feet.
